'Iron Man' Milind Soman runs the 570 km long Ahmedabad-Mumbai stretch barefoot for 'The Great India Run'.

50-year-old Milind Soman has always been a running enthusiast. The former supermodel and actor, who is one of the very few individuals to complete the Iron Man Triathlon last year has taken up a new challenge: he is running from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, sans shoes.
The former model, now dubbed as 'The Iron Man', started running the 570 km long stretch between Ahmedabad and Mumbai via Silvassa on July 26. He is running the marathon barefoot for 'The Great India Run', which calls itself the country's first multi-city ultra marathon.

Day 2: He completes 62 kms, and seems completely unfazed by the fact that he doesn't have shoes on.

Soman is expected to reach Mumbai by 7 August. 'The Great India Run' will see a total of 15 marathon runners from India pass through six states: Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Delhi covering a total distance of 1480 Kms, to promote running as a sport in the country.
