Police said Khan is also accused of attempting to run over the woman with his car.
The woman alleged that Khan instructed a young man to threaten her with rape and murder for 'politicising" the issue of power cuts in the capital.
Several AAP members, including Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, allege that the charges against Khan are trumped up, and that the BJP is behind the episode.
